Apple are, if the tech blogsphere is to be understood correctly, on the very of a radical new Sir Jonny Ive inspired revamp of the IOS interface, moving away from using pictures of calendars and phones, and stitching around the edges of apps and bringing the OS Interface into the world which has radical, but accepted interfaces such as Windows 8 (Which Ive himself has lauded publically)
I will add more to this post a bit later, however if you own an older Macbook Pro and OSX is just getting too long in the tooth. You’ve tried Ubuntu but the heating issues and terrible mouse control its almost impossible to use.

Its absolutely no surprise that the popular tech press is having a time reminding us just how Apples share price is dropping or they didn’t sell enough iphone 5 units to fill an order. The question is however is should you be kicking this dog when its down?
As a 500px.com user the news this week that the 500px app was taken off the Apple App store with apple citing Nudity, which I wont disagree is available from the app, but if this was for the reason for taking down the app. Apple needs to start cleaning up.
What do i mean by this? Well its simple really if you are looking to take down apps which can supply images of nude people over there at Apple, you might want to start by taking down all the Web Browsers because I can (if i wanted to) find Nudity and other such things using them, far worse than 500px App can offer up with a search.
There is a lot of speculation around Apple right now, Samsung have made great ground on the iPhone, the iPhone 5 production is allegedly being ramped back due to less demand and the Google Nexus 7 is chipping away at the iPads tablet market dominance as is the Amazon Fire HD.
This comes to no surprise to anyone who has followed Apple for long enough, this is the same thing that happened with the Apple Mac and OSX where for years Apple were streets ahead of the competition only to see Windows rise and surpass them.

Christmas this year there appears to be 3 main Tablet choices and other than the iPad which is still king of the roost, the 7 Inch wars are hotting up.because the iPad Mini, Nexus 7 and Amazon Fire are 3 very capable devices offering the user a huge amount.
Apple’s iPad is a great device and despite a few hiccups IOS6 will be a great IOS release. the device comes with a great selection of software however a few hours of the App Store will prove that there are alternatives to the default apps, and rather than having to spend that time hopefully this post can point you to some alternatives to those default apps.
It’s that time of the year when the next gen of smart phones are all starting to pup up, we’ve had the Android Samsung Galaxy S3 with Jelly Bean in the red corner and Apple’s iPhone 5 in the blue corner. The Thing about squares is there are two more corners. In the Yellow corner is the Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Mobile 8 and over there in the Black corner is the Potential some time next year of RIM maybe releasing some update to Blackberry which they are making a song and dance about.. So what do we do?
Apple pretty much have more money than most countries, they rake in an obscene amount of cash each month, they take a 30% cut of AppStore purchases.. They recycle their lines yearly to a devoted audience. This by anyone’s reckoning is a. Good business model..
While the maps app indeed appears to not be up to much, this isn’t a reason not to update your iPad 3 to IOS6 becaise rumour is Google have a Maps app waiting for approval and there are many many new features the update does provide.
These are a few i’ve run across in th last two days.
So IOS6 is out, and it’s generating as with all Apple News Terabytes of information, caught between the world of the Jailbroken iPad and the lust for new features I actually tried updating May iPad while on Holiday in Malta. No issues, downloaded after a few hours caught between terrible wifi and a few hundred million users all wanting to do the update at the same time.
I read a great post on this where the guy pretty much suggested that when Apple releases an IOS update, you may as well stop the internet for the day, i’ve never seen the actual stats but i’m going to put it out there that there is a huge amount of data being shifted to Apples mobile platforms.
My attempts at Over the Air downloads failed abysmally twice and i get the feeling this is because my iPad was jail broken. Nothing a download of the IPSW file couldn’t sort out which effectively resets the iPad to new fresh squeaky clean install. Never a bad thing.

Just sat through nearly 2hrs of Apple showing off thier new product line, and it’s all a bit bland really isn’t it.. Those heady days of Jobs Flicking the bird to an IBM logo, and the company he helped found has become nothing more than advertising superlatives.
This week Mountain Lion Apples new OSX operating system upgrade was released into the wild. Statistically speaking Apple users are more likely to perform an immediate upgrade of their OS than Windows users and most of us will be looking to carry on down the path Apple are taking with OSX.
